Noida International Airport to Boost Jobs and Investment Across India

On March 27, 2026, Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu announced that the Noida International Airport at Jewar is set to become a major economic hub. Cities like Atlanta, Georgia, and Memphis, Tennessee, in the United States, have successfully implemented the aerotropolis model, creating thriving economic ecosystems around their airports. A key component of the aerotropolis strategy is the proposed 40-acre Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility.

This facility will not only create employment opportunities but also support the aviation sector by providing essential services to airlines and other aviation companies. The MRO facility will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology, enabling it to handle a wide range of aircraft maintenance and repair tasks. This will make India an attractive location for airlines looking to reduce maintenance costs and improve operational efficiency.
