April 2023 Issue: Editor’s Note
We’ve all heard the saying, ‘Do what you love, and you will never work a day in your life,’ but the true challenge is applying it to real life! The fact is all ‘work’ has some aspects that we may not enjoy as much as others. So, while loving your work will help you in the journey of life, it is traits like perseverance and determination that can take us to the next level. Then again, while perseverance and determination involve building character and practicing good values, discovering what we love to do can be a little more complicated for some of us.
In an ideal world, the purpose of early education would be exposure to the widest variety of subjects and ideas, so that young people can begin to figure out what it is that interests and excites them the most. It may be technology for some, art for others, a love for performing for an audience or building things and figuring out how they work, or, it may even be simply a love for making money! Once you know what fuels your passion, never stop doing it. With the world changing at rocket speed, there are no careers that guarantee success. In fact, ‘success’ should be re-defined as creating a life that brings joy and brings out the best in you, and that is exactly what our cover story in this issue is about. We hope you enjoy the article by actor-director D.W. Moffett in which he has shared his amazing journey in the Entertainment Industry.
I am happy to share that with this issue, we complete three years of the publication of Career Ahead magazine! Here we are with yet another issue replete with shared experiences and advice from our amazing contributors, including renowned photojournalist and activist Stephanie Sinclair; snooker player Manan Chandra; Managing Editor for NewsX, television journalist Rishabh Gulati; voice-over artist Deepti Dua; entrepreneur and influencer Tommy Swanhaus, and many more.
