Evaluation was still underway as the result date remained unconfirmed

ICAI had not issued a confirmed schedule for releasing the scorecards. Officials said the evaluation was still going on, so candidates did not have a confirmed result date or time to follow. The announcement had been anticipated by the following week, but that expectation was not an official release schedule.^¹²

The September exams took place on four dates

ICAI held the CA Foundation September 2026 exams offline, in pen-and-paper format, on September 2, 5, 7 and 9. The exams took place at centres across the country. Those dates and the exam format describe the completed examination session; they do not establish when ICAI releases the result.^¹²

The scorecard includes marks and qualifying status

The scorecard generally includes the candidate’s name and roll number, marks for each subject, and qualifying status. Those details let a candidate see the subject-level marks alongside the overall qualification outcome. The scorecard details are separate from the release schedule, which ICAI had not confirmed.^¹

Candidates can check the result on ICAI’s portal after release

Once ICAI releases the result online, candidates who appeared for the September session can check it at caresults.icai.org. The CA Intermediate September 2026 results were declared on October 22, while the Foundation result announcement remained awaited. For now, the stated next step for Foundation candidates is to check the portal after the result is released; no confirmed release date or time was available.^¹²

Keep Plans Flexible Until Results

Keep CA Foundation plans flexible until ICAI confirms the scorecard release date and time. Officials say evaluation remains underway, and there is no confirmed schedule to anchor an immediate course or work decision. Avoid making plans that depend on seeing the result on a particular day. Check the official result portal once the scorecard is released, then make your next decision from the outcome.^¹²

When the scorecard appears, use both the qualifying status and subject-wise marks to assess your next CA Foundation study step, rather than relying only on the overall outcome. Marks for each subject can help you review your performance across the papers, while the qualifying status gives the overall result. Candidates can access the scorecard at caresults.icai.org after release. This gives you a concrete basis for reviewing course progress and tying any immediate study decision to the result shown.^¹²
