ICAI Launches 64th Campus Placement Registrations for 2026

Register now for ICAI's 64th campus placement for newly qualified CAs. Explore the city-wise schedule and key changes for April-May 2026.

ICAI Campus Placement 2026: A New Era Begins

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has opened registrations for its 64th campus placement programme. This programme targets newly qualified chartered accountants for the April-May 2026 session. The announcement was made on 24 March 2026.

Key Changes in the Placement Cycle

Historically, ICAI’s placement drives took place over a single weekend in March. This year, the institute has extended the interview window to 12 days, starting on 6 April and ending on 17 April.

  • Geographic decentralisation: ICAI is conducting drives in Pune, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and 20 additional satellite centres.
  • Standardised candidate preparation: A new, uniform orientation programme has been introduced across all centres.

These changes suggest that firms hiring fresh CAs are seeking broader talent pools and that candidates must now navigate a more coordinated, multi-city recruitment landscape.

City-wise Schedule

The interview schedule is organised as a rolling series of five-day windows for the primary hubs, followed by one-day drives in secondary locations. Below is the confirmed calendar for the major centres:

City Interview Dates (2026)
Mumbai 6 April – 10 April
Delhi 6 April – 10 April
Bengaluru 8 April – 13 April
Chennai 9 April – 14 April
Kolkata 10 April – 15 April
Hyderabad 13 April – 17 April

Candidates are advised to register early, as each centre operates on a first-come-first-served basis for interview slots.

Impact on Chartered Accountants

The extended calendar offers both opportunities and challenges for fresh CAs. On the upside, the inclusion of Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities reduces travel costs for candidates based outside Delhi and Mumbai. However, the simultaneous interview windows in Delhi and Mumbai create a logistical bottleneck for those who wish to attend both.
